Electrochemical lysis of intraocular tumor with combined positioning of electrodes (experimental study)

    In experiment on recent enucleated eyes with large tumors it was shown that a new method of electrochemical lysis (ECL) with original combined positioning of electrodes for intraocular tumors treatment provides a minimal traumatic impact and a total destruction of tumor tissue in the entire volume at electrodes encirclement. Superficial electrode allows to aim the electrochemical destruction at the whole tumor basis. The combination of the both superficial and intratumoral electrodes gives an opportunity to minimize a destruction of scleral integrity in the zone of tumor basis projection.
    Further investigations on an alteration of both intratumoral electrode insertion depth and quantity of electricity in combination with bioimpendancemetry can allow to realize a regulation of morphological changes in tumor structure.
