Complex analysis of photo-induced branch retinal vein occlusion model in comparison with laser-induced model

There was performed in the study a comparative analysis of a photo-induced model of branch retinal vein (BRV) occlusion and a model induced by a high intensive laser coagulation.
It was proved by means of ophthalmoscopy, optical coherence tomography, fluorescent angiography and histological examination that the photo-induced model was more adequate and pathogenetically directed to a natural pathogenesis of the branch retinal vein occlusion due to a thrombus presence and a vascular wall safety unlike existing laser-induced models.
The use of photo-induced model is perspective and reasonable to design new treatment techniques for branch retinal vein thrombosis as well as to study different questions of pathogenesis for this disease.
