Purpose. To study cytotoxicity of «Collalysine» to determine a safe range of dosages with respect to its cytotoxic action.
Material and methods. We studied the «Collasyline» cytotoxicity as well as increasing doses and exposures to determine a «dose-reaction» relation with fibroblasts culture of NIH 3T3 line mice in the following dosages: 5KE/100µl, 15CU/100µl, 30CU/100µl, 40CU/100µl, 60CU/100µl, 80CU/100µl, and 120CU/100µl with increasing duration of exposure time: 10min, 20min, 30min, 1h, 3h, and 24h.
Results. The performed study revealed no cytotoxicity in 15CU/100µl dosage, increasing cytotoxic reaction to insignificant for 30CU/100µl dosage, then to feeble when dosage is increased from 40 to 120CU/100µl and no further increase in toxic reaction in spite of further increase of dosage.
Conclusion. Extrapolation of model results from in vitro to in vivo allows us to conclude that dosages up to 15CU/100µl have no potential danger of toxic effect on biological tissues even under maximum exposure.
