    Biomechanical parameters of the eye with regression of the results of excimer laser correction of myopia

    There were analyzed 12 cases of myopic regression after excimer laser correction of myopia. The established causes of regression of the refractive result can be divided into corneal and scleral. The stability of the refractive result after excimer laser correction of myopia was determined by the preservation of corneoscleral rigidity which depends on the initial values of intraocular pressure, the size of the anteroposterior segment of the eye and the thickness of the cornea in the central optical zone.
