The results of treatment of children with retinal angiomatosis by infrared laser thermotherapy are presented. In children with Hippel-Lindau syndrome in one case there was a complete regression of retinal angiomas after transpupillary IR laser thermotherapy, the second child with high retinal detachment and multiple angiomas had suppression of angiomatous nodes and reduction of the transudative component after pars plana vitrectomy with angiomatous nodes endothermotherapy, retinotomy, retinal endolaser coagulation, retinal tamponade with silicone. In a child with Coats' retinitis, transpupillary IR laser thermotherapy combined with panretinal laser coagulation of the retina led to complete stabilization of the process.
Conclusion. IR laser thermotherapy of angiomatous processes in children is an effective method of treatment, eliminating the main link of pathogenesis. Timely diagnostics of retinal vascular diseases in children determines timely treatment, and means a favorably prognosis for the preservation of visual functions.
