Intraoperative corneal endothelial protection during phacoemulsification

The article presents the technology of corneal endothelium protection from a mechanical impact during phacoemulsification using a special device with a structure similar to a soft contact lens.
The obtained results demonstrate that the usage of the soft contact lens during phacoemulsification reduces the risk of damage to the corneal endothelium intraoperative, accelerate the recovery of corneal transparency, and thus provide higher levels of visual acuity postoperatively.
