The use of medical glue in the treatment of progressive myopia and retinal detachment

The technology of various types of episcleral (circle, sectoral, radial) plombage rendering is described in the article. The technology uses silicon sponge without suture fixation of the plombage material to sclera in case of retina detachment of an eye. At the zone of a tear an allotransplant with silicone sponge placed under it is glued to sclera, thus creating a roll of pressing in. The indications of use of the method are described by the authors, the first clinical results are shown.
