   A clinical case of implantation of an intraocular lens with an in-depth focus to a patient with traumatic cataract

   Purpose. To present a clinical case of implantation of an intraocular lens with an in-depth focus to a patient with traumatic cataract and evaluate the effectiveness of this correction.

   Methods. A patient with traumatic cataract was examined and operated on. Surgical treatment was performed in the amount of phacoaspiration of traumatic cataracts, implantation of an IOL with an in-depth focus and plastic surgery of the iris.

   Results. In this clinical case, surgical treatment and the postoperative period proceeded without complications. On the 1st day after surgery, the patient demonstrated high visual acuity at different distances.

   Conclusion. The tactics and scope of surgical treatment of the consequences of injuries to the anterior segment of the eye are determined individually. Implantation of an intraocular lens with an in-depth focus allows achieving high functional vision at different distances in patients with traumatic cataracts.
