    The pathology of the macular area is the main cause of vision loss. Given the importance of the functions of the macular zone, the study of morphological parameters remains topical. The most complex pathology of the macular zone leading to blindness is the macular rupture. Despite the fact that with modern development of vitreoretinal surgery, in 65% of cases successful treatment of macular ruptures is carried out, some technical features of the intervention remain unresolved. To date, it is important to develop a classification of macular ruptures, taking into account the interest of the internal border membrane and hyaloid, including the features of the retinal tissue tension vector, the development and determination of the effectiveness of the method of closing the through macular defects based on the formation of retinal incisions without removal of the internal border membrane.
