    This manuscript is devoted to the study of the scientific heritage of the Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Pediatric Faculty of the N.I. Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Science in Medicine, Professor E.I. Sidorenko.

    Sidorenko E.I. created the scientific school of pediatric ophthalmologists at Pirogov University and made a huge contribution to the development of this field in our country.

    It is important to preserve the traditions of the scientific schools of Russian pediatric ophthalmology, established by scientists such as Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Evgeny Ivanovich Sidorenko.
