    The article reports on the scientific results of the 17th International Conference on Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology (Moscow, 2018). For the second time in the history of world ophthalmology, at the suggestion of the Organizing Committee, Russian researchers held a separate interdisciplinary session «Physiology and biomechanics of the eye». The reports which caused special interest of participants of the Conference are noted in the article.
