Main data of general health in children with amblyopia

    Purpose: To establish frequency and structure of infringements of indicators of a state of health at children of preschool age having amblyopia, and to prove necessity of carrying out of improving actions.

    Material and methods. We have investigated 235 children at the age of 4-6 years, 172 of them had sight infringement.

    Results and conclusions. Numerous infringements of health at children with amblyopia have been revealed. So, in this group we marked lower indicators of physical development and the higher mental functions. Therefore at medical support of these children the complex approach is necessary. For realization of such approach it is necessary to develop specialized programs of rehabilitation and standards of recommendations for parents.
