    Use of Tealoz medicine by patients with primary open-angle glaucoma at the «dry eye» syndrom

    Aim. To analyze the efficiency of Tealoz medicine by patients with primary open-angle glaucoma when treating the “dry eye” syndrome.

    Material and methods. 63 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma of the I-III degree with compensated IOP were included into the study. The main group – 29 patients (43 eyes) received hypotensive therapy and, additionally, tear-substitute Tealoz instillations within 1 month 3 times a day. The control group – 34 patients (54 eyes) received only hypotensive therapy.

    Results. After the treatment by Tealoz it was identified a significant improvement of the results of Shirmer probe of patients of the main group, decrease of the number of patients with “dry eye” syndrome of severe and middle degree.

    Conclusion. Free conservatives Tealoz medicine is efficient in the treatment of “dry eye” syndrome of patients with primary open-angle glaucoma, reliably improves the state of precorneal lacrimal layer.
