Abstract
Predictors of glaucoma progression
N.I. Kurysheva, E.O. Shatalova, L.V. Lepeshkina
The Ophthalmological Center of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency, Moscow
Purpose. To evaluate the predictive factors of glaucoma progression.
Material and methods. During the period from 2005 to 2017 more than 250 patients with POAG and PACG were observed, 126 patients had OCT-angiography, the parameters of which were included in the regression analysis at the final stages of the study. All patients were divided into two groups: 1st group with glaucoma progression, 2nd group – without glaucoma progression.
In addition to the standard ophthalmological examination, all patients underwent ultrasound (doppler), as well as OCT – angiography. So, 301 clinical parameters were analyzed at all.
Conclusion. It was found that the most important predictors of glaucoma progression are decrease of microcirculation in optic nerve and peripapillary retina, initially low photosensitivity of retina, low corneal hysteresis and retinal thickness (fovea/parafovea).
Key words: рredictors of glaucoma progression, OCT, OCT-angiography.
