    The paper presents an analysis of foreign and domestic publications as a result of the use of refractive surgery in children with amblyopia and anisometropia more than 3-4 diopters for the last 20 years. In light of recent developments in the field of ophthalmic laser technology, it is necessary to revise the existing views and, if all possibilities of traditional treatment are exhausted you need to use the refractive surgery, which task in these circumstances is to create conditions for a full development of vision and social rehabilitation of children.
