Abstract
Vizmed in the outpatient practice of an ophthalmologist

The article presents reasons to apply frequently to doctors for a treatment of children and teenagers with complaints of discomfort, redness and pain in the eyes.
It is recommended in the paper a standard study of the anatomic condition of the anterior segment of the eyeball (biomicroscopy of the eyelids, conjunctiva, cornea), tiascopy, evaluation of lacrimal meniscus index and stability of the tear film according to the Norn M. S., and the O. Schirmer-I and O. Schirmer-II test. The article describes the comparative characteristics of different forms of Vismed hydrogels. The use of Vismed hydrogels, represented by sodium hyaluronate solutions in concentrations from 0.1% to 0.3%, opens up new opportunities in the treatment of mild and severe forms of dry eye syndrome.
